DemcoTECH delivered a complex sulphur handling system for the refinery and petrochemical integrated development (RAPID) project in southern Johor. The materials handling system offloads sulphur prills delivered by tip trucks, to stack the material onto a stockyard and then to reclaim and export the sulphur, via a series of conveyors into the DWT vessels. Tenke Fungurume Sulphur Storage & Lime Dosing System

DemcoTECH supplied a sulphur storage and lime dosing system for the sulphuric acid plant for Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold’s giant copper/cobalt project in the DRC. The system consists of a 150 ton stainless steel storage silo, mounted on load cells, a belt feeder discharge, an automatic lime dosing system and a luffing conveyor. Sulphur Import & Distribution Centre Study

DemcoTECH undertook a desktop study covering a new materials handling system that was to be developed to import sulphur prills from handysize vessels and barges moored along the jetty and convey the product to a private stockyard complex and to enable the product to be distributed to mining customers via road haul trucks from within the harbour complex. Being a multi-product, multi-client harbour, emphasis was placed on mobile / removable hardware wherever possible along the jetty to make way for other client import / export operations. Read more …
