DemcoTECH supplied a pipe conveyor for the new 180 tph diamond processing plant at Koidu Mine in Sierra Leone. The 45.6 m long, 200 mm diameter pipe conveyor conveys 2 tph of diamondiferous ore from the process plant at 0.5 m/s to a secure area. The technology provides secure handling of the material containing diamonds along the complete length of the conveyor, as it is completely enclosed by the conveyor belt for the major portion of its travel.
