Sulphur Handling System for Petronas RAPID Project

DemcoTECH delivered a complex sulphur handling system for the refinery and petrochemical integrated development (RAPID) project in southern Johor. The materials handling system offloads sulphur prills, to stack the material onto a stockyard and then to reclaim and export it, via conveyors into the DWT vessels. Vale Regional Iron Ore Distribution Centre

DemcoTECH Engineering provided FEL 1,2, 3 & 4 engineering and support services for establishment of the Teluk Rubiah maritime terminal in Malaysia. DemcoTECH provided the conceptual design of the terminal, initial plant layouts, design and basic engineering for project materials handling portion, specified the mechanical equipment and adjudicated suppliers technically. Tanjung Bin Coal Import and Distribution Facility

DemcoTECH Engineering provided the design for the 5,000 tph conveyor system for the coal import and distribution facility at the 3,100 MW Tanjung Bin coal-fired power station located in Johor, Malaysia. DemcoTECH carried out Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) material flow analysis on all the chutes and also provided site supervision during erection and commissioning of the system.

Manganese Sintering Plant for Sakura

DemcoTECH’s contract for a new sintering plant at Sakura Ferroalloys’ facility in Malaysia comprises design of a new crushing and screening circuit, along with a proportioning, mixing and pelletising system that allows for by-products, recycled material and fines of the existing submerged arc furnace smelting process to be utilised through sintering. This second sinter plant was awarded to DemcoTECH due to the success of an earlier project for Cato Ridge Alloys. Read more …

Samalaju Port Study

DemcoTECH was contracted by Bintulu Port Holdings to assess the entire bulk materials handling, ship loading, offloading and storage facility at Samalaju Port in Malaysia and make recommendations to return the facility back to its nameplate capacity. The assessment covered the luffing crane ship offloaders, 1,200 tph conveyors and stacking plant and the associated equipment. This required a full investigation and review of the mechanicals and electricals, as well as of the operations of the existing plant and equipment. Read more …
