DemcoTECH designed a 4.5 km pipe conveyor for Harmony Gold Mining Company in Papua New Guinea to transport gold ore though jungle, providing an economical and environmentally friendly solution. The pipe conveyor was required to have multiple curves given the jungle environment, as well as elevated gantries to allow animals to pass underneath. The 1 500 tph pipe conveyor has a 350 mm diameter pipe and 4 x 300 kW drives at the tail and head ends. Read more …
